Today at 4:30 p.m., Marty’s Reliable Cycle on Speedwell Ave. will officially re-open after massive renovations.
If you haven’t heard, the renovated building received LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The building is now 40% more energy efficient, and there’s a new HVAC system, highly insulated windows, sustainably harvested wood, low VOC paints and more. Mayor Tim Dougherty will be there to officially cut the ribbon at 4:30 and then there will be a casual bike ride around town at 6 p.m. Both are open to the public.
In celebration of the re-opening, all Marty’s locations will have a sale on everything in the store from April 16-25, including bikes. Well, now that you mention it, I could use a bike mirror…and maybe a bike bag…
